Christopher Ronald Mark Lancaster (14 May 1938 – 30 April 2021) was a British-American artist and set designer who worked extensively with the Cunningham Dance Company. Alastair Macaulay referred to him as a "superlative designer" who "knew how to create drama by colour contrasts."

The current exhibition of paintings by Frank Duveneck at the Whitney Museum will close tomorrow evening. A selection of paintings and sculpture from the permanent collection will be placed on view on Tuesday and may be seen through May 27. The museum will close for the Summer on May 28 and will reopen in September.

KIRSTEN FLAGSTAD appears in Honolulu, May 27. She gives recitals in Australia and New Zealand from June 13 to Sept. 10, and in October will make her Parisian debut. Her Paris schedule includes two appearances at the Grand Opera and a recital. Later she sings in recital in London, returning to America in' October.
