LEAD: Shareholders of the Hospital Corporation of America approved a $5 billion buyout of the nation's largest hospital management company by an investor group led by the company's top executives. The concern's chairman, Thomas F. Frist Jr., said after the vote that the company would keep most of its hospitals but sell subsidiary properties to help finance the deal.
Texaco to Widen Sales of Properties

As part of a restructuring package that brought it out of bankruptcy last spring, the company had said that it would sell 600 properties, and in November it raised the figure to 1,400.
Sony Deal to Make Videodisks in U.S.

Sony, which also makes videodisk players, expects the production of disks to spur increased sales of its players. Holly Sets Meeting To Vote on Conagra
